time to [re]-engage: jim + jaimi

Why should engaged couples have all the fun. Introducing, the [re]-engagement sessions for lovers whether married or “just” dating. A session makes the perfect Valentines or “Just Because” gift.

First up: Jim and Jaimi

Married: July 30, 2005 ( 2.5 Years)

Jaimi, how did you meet and when did you first realize you loved Jim? We met when we both worked at the Silver Slipper Restaurant while in college. I was a cocktail waitress and he was a server. We were friends for quite some time before we became romantic. I remember seeing him come in to apply for the server position though and thought, “wow, he’s hot!”

The feelings were there but I was blind to them until we came home from a road trip to see Dave Matthews in concert. We started officially dating a week after that. I first realized (or admitted to myself) that I loved him when we were sitting outside Andrew’s Downtown talking about our new found romance in each other. I remember being giddy but at peace – I had found the man for me!

Jim, how did you meet and when did you first realize you loved Jaimi? We meet at the Silver Slipper restaurant. I first realized I loved her on December 31st, 2001. We were at McCabe’s Restaurant in Naples, Florida. I just stopped her in the restaurant and came out and said it.

Jaimi, what do you love the most about Jim? Jim is a chivalrous and honorable man.

Jim, what do you love the most about Jaimi? I’m fascinated by her. I have never met anyone who can attract people the way she can. She makes friends with everyone. Being in the same room with her, often at dinner, is the best part of my day. She’s well organized too!

I had the great honor of presenting some of my research at US-Africa Advanced Study Institute on Environmental and Biological Applications of Lasers (EBAL 2008) held in Cairo, Egypt. I was there from January 21 through the 29th. It was a truly once in a lifetime experience. As requested below are some pictures from the trip. More can be found here. Hope you enjoy.

Well, the past week has been a busy one. I attended the annual convention of the Digital Wedding Forum and the Imaging USA ’08 Trade Show. I learned a great deal of new information and techniques. Can’t wait to try some new stuff out on my clients ☺. One of the week’s high points was the Canvas on Demand’s booth at the trade show. Canvas on Demand produces beautiful canvases from prints and they highlighted one of my prints in their booth. Can you spot it below?

Perhaps the highlight of the week was my mentoring session with Melissa of Tirado Photography in Boston, Ma. Having a much more accomplished photographer taking an honest look at your work and business is very helpful. Thank you Melissa for your kind words and insight. I hope our progress and direction in ’08 continues to impress you.
